Coating blisters are rarely just a surface problem. On this project, we paired Schmidt Rebound Hammer surveys, Impact Echo, petrography, and in slab relative humidity testing to show a strong concrete structure beneath a weak coating system. High relative humidity was trapped under an unbonded deck coating, and uneven substrate prep let moisture move where it should not.
