The Industrial Slab Started Cracking Within Weeks From Construction
Even though the slab was adequate in thickness and had conventional reinforcement, the slab exhibited extensive cracking and spalling.
Conducting the Condition Assessment
Prior repairs failed soon after repairing the slab. We. investigated the root cause of cracking and spalling by performing load deflection testing, coring, and performing concrete microscopy.
Repair of the Slab
After performing visual inspections, we monitored the contractor’s work of epoxy injections in the slab cracks.
The Completed Repair
The cracks and the joints were repaired. The end result was excellent repair which have been performing well for the past several years.
