Mr. Kakade has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from SDSM&T, Rapid City, SD and he is a registered Civil Engineer in the states of CA, NV & AZ.
Mr. Kakade has over 30 years of experience in construction, investigation, and rehabilitation of concrete structures. Mr. Kakade is experienced in various materials such as concrete, gypsum concrete, asphalt concrete, cement plaster (stucco), vinyl and hardwood floorings, acrylic and epoxy coatings. He has been involved in failure investigation of residential and commercial buildings, Utility structures, CMU buildings, precast and pre-stressed concrete structures, various slab-on-grade foundations, concrete and asphalt pavements. Mr. Kakade has worked on projects having distresses due to cracking, floor covering failures, moisture emission related distresses in slab-on-grade, corrosion of metal in concrete, sulfates, alkali-aggregate reactivity(ASR), and other materials, construction, and service related defects in structures. He serves on various technical committees of ASTM, ACI and ICRI.
He has taught a Concrete Technology course at the University of California Berkeley and University of California Davis Engineering Extension. Mr. Kakade has testified in court as an expert on many occasions.
Mr. Limaye has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA, and a Business Management Degree from Houston Baptist University, Houston, TX
Mr. Limaye has over 35 years of experience in research, construction materials, investigation of defects and repairs to concrete structures. Mr. Limaye has carried out numerous condition surveys on a variety of structures such as buildings, bridges, pavements, tunnels, water treatment facilities, residential homes to document existing conditions. To determine internal condition of the structural members, he has developed and applied nondestructive techniques such as impact-echo, impulse response, spectral analysis of surface waves, etc. He has used radar and X-ray techniques to detect and locate significant internal flaws.
Mr. Limaye has developed, designed and applied different kinds of sensor based systems including radiotelemetry to measure physical quantities such as force, pressure, acceleration, vibrations, and displacement. Some of the large projects include hydraulic turbines, various types of pumps, fans, pipelines, and offshore drilling and production platforms.
Mr. Nene has a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, CA. He is a Registered Structural Engineer in CA.
Mr. Nene’s experience spans over 40 years in evaluation of existing structures, design of new single and multi family residences, retrofitting of unreinforced masonry, concrete and other structures, remodel of industrial structures, design of spreaders and lifting structures, arbitration and expert witness services for dispute resolution. He has designed repairs to improve building capacity and seismic safety.
Mr. Nene also worked on many other projects such as design of single story tilt up concrete wall building, timber structures, review, rehabilitation and seismic upgrades of unreinforced masonry buildings. Mr. Nene designed various types of reinforced concrete structures including high rise apartments & commercial buildings, industrial buildings and structures for industrial waste, sewage and water treatment plants.
